  After commit b8a1a4cd5a98 ("i2c: Provide a temporary .probe_new()
call-back type"), all drivers being converted to .probe_new() and then
commit 03c835f498b5 ("i2c: Switch .probe() to not take an id parameter")
convert back to (the new) .probe() to be able to eventually drop
.probe_new() from struct i2c_driver.

Hello,

this driver is currently added in next and introduces a new usage of
.probe_new which I intend to remove after the next -rc1.

To reduce the amount of patches that are necessary to apply together
with the patch that drops .probe_new() it would be great if you make
sure that this patch makes it in before v6.6-rc1.

Thanks
Uwe

Thanks!

[1/1] regulator: max77857: Switch back to use struct i2c_driver's .probe()
      commit: 2920e08bef609c8b59f9996fd6852a7b97119d75

All being well this means that it will be integrated into the linux-next
tree (usually sometime in the next 24 hours) and sent to Linus during
the next merge window (or sooner if it is a bug fix), however if
problems are discovered then the patch may be dropped or reverted.

You may get further e-mails resulting from automated or manual testing
and review of the tree, please engage with people reporting problems and
send followup patches addressing any issues that are reported if needed.

If any updates are required or you are submitting further changes they
should be sent as incremental updates against current git, existing
patches will not be replaced.

Please add any relevant lists and maintainers to the CCs when replying
to this mail.

Thanks,
Mark
