Please pull this branch with changes for vfs for 6.2-rc1.

As usual, I did a test-merge with the main upstream branch as of a few
minutes ago, and didn't see any conflicts.  Please let me know if you
encounter any problems.

New VFS code for 6.2:

- Make some minor adjustments to the remap range preparation function to
skip file updates when the request length is adjusted downwards to
zero.
