Since they go via different maintainers, it is always better to split the patch (especially when there is no functional dependency, like this case). Also, I see that you haven't copied any of the maintainers for the CXL subsystem. Running "scripts/get_maintainer.pl" on the affected file or the patch should give you the email addresses for the concerned maintainers/list. e.g: $ scripts/get_maintainer.pl Documentation/ABI/testing/sysfs-bus-cxl So, please resend the patch after splitting, to the respective maintainers/reviewers/list.
